Stringing

Racquet Stringing Services in Winnipeg

At our proshop inside the Winnipeg Winter Club, we provide professional racquet stringing to keep your game performing at its best. Whether you’re a competitive player, a weekend enthusiast, or just getting started, the right string tension and setup can make all the difference in your play.

Why Stringing Matters

Strings lose tension over time, even if you’re not playing frequently. Worn-out or loose strings can reduce power, spin, and control—making your racquet feel “dead.” Regular stringing ensures your racquet stays responsive, comfortable, and suited to your style of play.

Our Stringing Services

We offer:

  • Custom String Tension – Tailored to your game, whether you need more power, control, or comfort.
  • Wide Selection of Strings – Choose from synthetic gut, multifilament, polyester, or hybrid setups from top brands.
  • Quick Turnaround – Get your racquet back fast so you don’t miss valuable court time.
  • Expert Advice – Not sure what’s best for your game? Our staff can recommend the ideal string type and tension.

When Should You Restring?

  • If you play three times a week, you should restring three times per year.
  • If your strings look frayed, worn, or feel loose.
  • If your racquet feels less lively or harder on your arm.

Why Choose Us?

Located right here in the Winnipeg Winter Club, we make it convenient to drop off your racquet before or after your match. Our team combines years of playing and stringing experience with professional-grade equipment, ensuring your racquet is strung with precision every time.

Racquet Stringing FAQ

How long does racquet stringing take?

Most racquets are ready within 24–48 hours. If you need same-day service, let us know—we’ll do our best to accommodate.

How often should I restring my racquet?

A good rule of thumb: restring as many times per year as you play per week. For example, if you play three times a week, restring at least three times a year. Competitive players may need it more often.

What type of strings do you carry?

We offer a wide selection including synthetic gut, polyester, multifilament, and hybrid setups from leading tennis brands. Our staff can recommend the best string for your playing style and needs.

What string tension should I use?

It depends on your style of play. Lower tension offers more power and comfort, while higher tension provides more control and precision. We’ll help you find the sweet spot for your game.

How much does stringing cost?

Prices vary depending on the type of string and whether you bring your own. We offer competitive rates and quality workmanship every time.
